United Kingdom - UK cyclists, post your Condor Cycles experience

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Not talking about the bikes, I know they're nice. I'm talking about your bike purchase experience from Condor. What were they like? Were the time frames for delivery accurate? Did they get parts of the order wrong?

I didn't even get round to ordering. I found the staff i spoke to - a bit arrogant and full of themselves. To be honest they are just sales people who have delusions of grandeur.

lovely bikes though.

I hear you.

No desire to own one of their bikes but their range of stuff is impressive / handy. I like going there but I avoid conversations with the staff at all costs.

My rating: 9/10 (no-one's perfect)

There's a reason that everyone from cycle couriers, commuters to london triathlon city types keep coming back to Condor. It's a small, friendly, family run business that takes the time to both listen and advise (unlike Evans "we're sh** and we don't care" Cycles).

Every time I've had to deal with them, even on saturdays when the queue starts before the doors have even openned, they're always polite, extremely knowledgeable and honest, i.e., if there's something cheaper/better they'll tell you.

Anyway, there are multiple condor cycles threads on this forum if you search for them.

I've not bought anything online, but have visited the shop a couple of times. Once got a nice pair of used SPD-R pedals out of the bargain bin for £25 - the only way Dura Ace has ever made it on to one of my bikes :).
Staff seemed nice enough, and helpful at the time.

Cheers,

Ed
