Road Cycling - Does anyone buy bikes anymore?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It is only a general question. I have had my brand new Bianchi Reporte Corse SLR3 frame with Ultegra component, new headset, seat, Mavic Classic wheels for sale for 6 months and only (2) nibbles. The bike was replaced due to a cracked front derailer hanger (frame) mount. Bianchi replaced almost everything. And what they didn't, the Bike Line of Broad Ripple (Indianapolis) did. The price new was $2,100. and I am asking $950. I am riding a Trek due to the need of wheels when they (Bianchi) were deciding what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a 58 is like buy a size 10.5 shoe. Everyone always has tons.

sweet bike, I will be sending you a private message
I've bought 4 used bikes in the last year - 1 from a friend, 2 from roadbikereview.com classifieds and 1 from ebay. I love the process and most importantly, the savings.
My latest - an '04 Lemond Tete de Course frame was purchased for less than half the MSRP. It's 3 months old and not a scratch on it. Can't wait to build it.
Buyers are out there - where are you listing?

Where are you selling it?
If it was a 56 I'd seriously consider it as I'm in the market. But 58 is too big.
DId you also try and post this on the CIBA message board??

I live in Cincinnati and 58 cm is my size.
Let me do some thinking (and checkbook balancing!)
OK, off topic, but does anyone know where get the bike stand pictured above?

If it was a 56 I would have gotten it. Good luck.

Are you using eBay? I sold my 1 year old 59 cm LeMond Victoire in a 5 day auction with no reserve and got a great price for it.

What's CIBA?
CIBA = Central Indiana Bicycling Association (our local club). It's a Hoosier thang!

My LBS has them for around $20. I'll stop there tonight for the group ride (hopefully it won't rain AGAIN!) and get a name for you.
Ask your LBS, I bet they can be ordered from QBP.

Is the bike still available? I'll buy it if there's a way to guarantee it's condition? I live in Portland OR and have been looking for a new road bike.
