Does anybody know of any LBS in or near SW Ohio who deal with Surly and would most likely have some at the shop available for a test ride?

Surly is distributed by QBP, which is a HUGE distributor, so most shops in your area should be able to order them in.
If you have no luck in SW Ohio and wanna road trip, I work for www.centurycycles.com and we normally have a pretty decent spread of Surlys built up. If you do wanna make the journey, PM me!

I've seen Surlys on display at two Cincinnati-area LBS's:
Campus Cyclery: 241 W McMillan Street (Clifton Heights)
Bishop's Bicycles: 313 Main Street (Old Milford)
There may be others that I haven't seen, but I'm also shopping and have been making the rounds.
IMO, both are good shops.
