Just trying to help a friend sell his for a fair price.
Very clean, only one pea sized paint chip where the
front brake hit the frame.:(
All Campy Veloce except for the nitto pedals w/straps.
He's an older fellow who had it set up for comfort
riding.
He had a stroke and could no longer ride over the bars so much.
Red with chrome fork, phil wood hubs laced to mavic rims with Challenge
rivendale tires still in superebe condition.
Honey colored brooks b-17 that looks as if it's never met a backside.
Tan cloth tape with LOTS of padding. Did I mention this bike was set up for
total comfort?
It's also got a Nitto stem but the original Cinelli is included/can be switched.
I think if I put some white Cinelli tape and a white Roll on it it would look
so much cooler.

I would think the Super Corsa would have better than Veloce, unless it was built from the frame up, and a lot of that was done in 90-91.
Would be worth more with the Cinelli, I believe, but the Cinelli would take a 26.4 bar, so you may want to find where that went, as they are getting pretty expensive (the bars).
I have no idea if Phil Wood hubs makes a value difference. I think it would be a wash, with those who want Campy on their Cinelli vs. probably a higher quality wheel/hub combo.
A picture would be good, and I'd say $500 is too low, but I'd have to see it. White tape and white Rolls looks pretty cool, but those who plan to ride it a lot may disagree, as they don't stay white for long.

Thanks Robbie,
I pretty sure he did have it built up. He's in his late 60's now if it matters and is a retired
shop teacher so maybe the super record this bike deserved was out of reach.
He's really hoping to get quite a bit more than $500, about three times is what he's hoping for.

One went for $1500 a few months ago on eBay. In this economy, probably not a good investment.
I sure wouldn't pay that for one with Veloce. $1500 would have to be OEM (which I doubt was Veloce) or all Chorus, for me.
Do you have a predetermined figure ($1500)?
If so, put it on ebay with a buy it now of $1500, and see if you can get it. It just takes one bidder.
Are you looking for pricing feedback, or do you have a predetermined figure ($1500)?

High end bikes around here are not selling very well. The bikes that sell are the mid level and lower bikes ($150 to $400 or so), bikes that are priced well below what an entry LBS bike is going for. So buyers see them as neat vintage values.

I was looking for some pricing feedback for the owner. I know he really wants to get about $1500ish.
Thanks for the input, i'll let him know what's up with the market right now.

I doubt he'll see $1500, even if he waits. There are maybe one or two buyers out there with the desire for that bike, the cash to spend, and who aren't looking at alternatives.
