i did 80 miles today on the east side of the sandias
including heartbreak hill for the first time
from where the san pedro sign is (at the point where the climb starts) it took me 8min to get up at about 4.5 mph
how slow is that?

Making it to 4.5 mph or any speed on a challenging hill is great in my book. If you walked for a bit and still made it to the top that too would be good.
I claim victory every time a hill fails to discourage me.
