I found a couple old shots from down in Key West when we were there in 1991, where I was playing with pushed ISO and such on Medium Format 120. A digital scan doesn't do them justice, but I used a brown filter with a 100 speed film, slow exposure, stopped down hard for depth of field and a bit of intentional burn in of the images in the darkroom.

A little background, here....
We were cruising the Keys on a 25' Sailboat, and these shorts are from the deck. Unfortunately 18 years of storage weren't as kind to the rest of the shots, like the ones from the Dry Tortugas. I'm going to try to restore them digitally if I can, but they're pretty rough.

I want to do that! If I actually make it to boca next year, sailing to the keys will be one of my first adventures.....eventually I'd like to sail the leeward islands.

1991? I was a bachelor in 1991. But I did have my current business.
Cool pics. If you hadn't told us what it was, I would have guessed they were of Ft. Sumter,SC.

OK Tom, I now hate you. Just kidding. We go to Key West in April for a couple of weeks every year. This year life happened and we didn't get to go. I am in MAJOR WITHDRAWAL. Can't wait until next April. We'll be there no matter what. I can't take another year of no Conch Republic Independence Day. BTW, Conch Independence Day is the same as my birthday. Coincidence, no way.

Yep, a Vintage effect was what I was going for. As I said, I used a Bronze filter, and finally found the data. It was a 1/50 second exposure with ISO 100 film, pushed to an ISO 500 setting and stopped way down, I didn't write that down legibly, it seems, but IIRC, it was F64
