Hybrid Bicycles - HELP!!! Kickstand for '09 Spec Sirrus Elite

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just purchased a 2009 Specialized Sirrus Elite. The bike has carbon seat stays. It doesn't look like there is room for a kickstand in the normal place due to a cable plus it is where the front of a rear fender would attach (not much room at all if any).
Also, the chain stay (not sure if I'm using the correct term) is curved versus straight, so not sure if one of those rear mount kick stands would work or not.
1) Can I attach a kickstand to my bike?
2) If so, what type/kind/model of kickstand would you suggest?
You could probably get one that mounts off the rear dropout if you really, really have to have one. I don't own one personally out of 11 bikes...

I'd suggest a greefield rear stabilizer
link.
I've got three bikes with them. They're great and stable.:thumb:
The Greenfield was the 5th rear triangle stand that I tried and it was the best fit.
The Greenfield fit into a tight dimension, the only stand that I didn't get heel strike.
Glad I found it.:)

I am sure you can find one that fits, I did have to remove the kick stand to install the fenders and then put it back, Different bike though. The rear mount stand will work but be aware of loaded painers upsetting the balance of the bike

I have never tried one, but I have considered it, and it looks like an interesting solution to your issues...
