Helo everyone Ive been riding for 2 yrs and love it I have been riding a GIANT mountain bike [equana] But to my good fortune I found a Miyata road bike at the bone yard a wek ago paid 10 bucks for it. I cleaned her up and now shes my comuter. I ride 15 miles each way to work, every day weather permiting. I like the road bike becuse of the bigger sprocket and I can get lower for those head on winds. I am hope to learn all I can about riding and from what Ive read here Im in the right place. Later for now :D

A rider on a recumbent has 15% to as much as 30% less wind resistance than an upright bike. Wind tunnel tests have shown that it would take a rider in a severe crouch position on aero bars to even come close to the wind resistance of a good recumbent.

Keep on cranking the mileage. Good to see another person saving some gas and getting healthy in the process!
