Sometimes there is a good end to a cyclist being struck by a vehicle. Kudos to the cyclist for tracking down the truck.
From the Yakima Herald:
CLE ELUM, Wash. -- Authorities arrested a 72-year-old driver Sunday who they say hit a bicyclist, then fled the scene.
The Cle Elum man is awaiting felony hit-and-run charges at the Kittitas County jail.
According to Kittitas County Sheriff's deputies, Alan Runte, 61, was riding his bike south on Golf Course Road about 6:30 p.m.
As a white Ford pickup traveled past him, its passenger side mirror struck Runte in the back; the mirror broke off and the driver fled without stopping, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Runte and his wife later found the truck at a house and called 9-1-1, according to the release. Deputies then arrested the 72-year-old man and seized the pickup.
