Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the board, so forgive my question if it is lame.

I am looking to pick up an older Bianchi (or other) for general around town rides or shorter distance rides. I have a new Lemond that I take out for longer rides but I don't feel like it's a good idea to ride the Lemond around town a lot and leave it parked outside of buildings (at the university) for hours at a time. Essentially, I'm looking for something that can take a few bumps and bruises and if it gets stolen, then it's not the end of the world.

I really don't know what I'm looking for, just something steel and something cheap. I'm not set on Bianchi, although it seems like 80's Bianchis are the right price and are plentiful. Are there certain model Bianchis that should be avoided? Certain grupos or frames to avoid within the Bianchi brand?

This will be my first foray into older bikes and am feeling a little lost. Thanks.

I have a Bianchi "Trofeo" that's a pretty good ride. The Celeste paint has a gold pearl clear coat so its pretty too.

I'm selling my bianchi on e-bay but the cost of shipping might make it more than you're looking for. I want to get about 200 canadian for it. It is old about mid eighties I'd say and has had parts changed around on it as far as I can tell. I havn't even had it a year. It's a quality frame, steel. and has bianchi stamped on the rear drop-outs so you can be sure it's a higher end racer from it's day.

Might be interested. What is the measurement from the center of the crank to the top of the seat tube? Thanks.
