So I'm entertaining the idea of a cycle computer. Ideally I'd like a combined Cadence, HRM, Speed I do not want GPS. Can be wired or wireless. I'd assume wireless is more expensive. There are just to many cycle computers to choose from. Cateye, Sigma, VDO, Topeak, Shimano, Vetta, Serfas, etc.....
I'd like to spend under $100. So what system has the best bang for the buck ??

I have a Cateye Double Wireless, and have been very happy with it. Best bang for the buck is probably the wired version (if you don't mind running wires and cable ties on your bike). Difficult to find HRM for under $100, though.

I used a VDO for a year before I got the Edge. Big plus for the VDO was the range between the remotes for the speed and cadence. Most at that time were barely 3 feet the VDO was 6 to 9 feet. It also was not affected by power lines like most wireless at that time.

For price, the Cateyes or the Rox 8.0 are the way to go. For a little more you can get a Rox 9.0 with computer upload capability.

I think your best bet is a refurbished Edge 305. They can be gotten from Ebay for about $150.
It has GPS, even tho you're not looking for GPS, I know. Thing is, there are no other good bike computers with speed, cadence, HRM, etc. for that price!
