Has anyone participated in the Novemberfest ride in San Felipe before? I'm new to cycling (and been lurking BF for a while) and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this one.

I rode it last year. The roads were just plain bad.
The directions were bad.
The food was ok.
Not going baclk
Most riders got lost.

Agreed 100%
Got two emails from them today and I thought exactly what 10 Wheels said above. Don't get me wrong, the money goes to a great cause. However, I ain't doing it.

Wow, thanks for the info. I'm glad I asked before I just went and signed up. I'll probably pass on this one too then.

here's the thread from '07. it has a few reports. it was stated the route will change, but i couldn't tell you what roads we were on to begin with, and not sure if route is posted before hand (usually not).

If they did change the route for better roads, I cannot even imagine how brutal they were before. It was so bad that of the 25+ charity rides in the past year, that one stands out in my mind as the absolute worst.
That's all I'm going to say because I'm starting to feel guilty for ragging on a charity...

Man, I dunno. Judging by the photos, the road looks pretty smooth, and only a short wait at the food line. :P
