Classic & Vintage - I need an acid tutorial
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just got a grungy Raleigh. Search isn't working for me. Could somebody please post the links to the most helpful Ox Acid thread. Danke!

I thought this thread was gonna be about the grateful dead
acid tutorial != acid test
Here's how to search: go to the search function, search for oxalic acid, and be sure to check the box "sort by relevance". There is plenty of good info out there.
There is also a way to search this site from Google.

If the search engine is not working for me I use the google method. Just put this text in a google search

Whenever I have a question about something, I just do this:

Set and Setting.
get some fruit or juice thats high in vitamin C, and avoid dairy products beforehand.
...maybe listen to some Allman Brothers.

Stay away from kaleidoscopes!
Stay away from the brown acid.....
You just stick it under your tongue bra!

I'm going by memory here, but I believe these are the steps:
Get a tub of DAP Oxalic Acid crystals - can be purchased at Sherwin Williams,
Mix a couple of tablespoons of it per gallon of water or so (this might be overdoing it, for that matter),
Dunk objects for a few hours,
Remove and rinse with water and baking soda,
At last some humor.

So that's the phrasing used to google discussion forums, thanks.
As to the Ox Acid stuff, also download the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for it so you don't end up on a different kind of trip.
And with a thread title like this one had you just had to know there'd be a variety of replies.
Keep On Truckin'
I was always the designated driver,
Truckin', truckin', truckin' on down the road....
I thought for sure this was about going to a Laser Floyd show......
