Northern California - Foxy's Registration is Open

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

All of those dates are clear thus far; the 1st is the end of DST, so that's an extra hour to work with there. Last year we did it on the same day (end of DST) and it was a very nice day, weather-wise).
I'll make sure to bring more to eat and snack on this time... ;)
Ok, I'll run it by the wife but the 1st should be good.
bigbossman-Don't schedule a ride on November 1st! :twitchy:

I believe wide open. I'll double check with my social director. Maybe I can get her to ride with us as long as there are bail out points.
Sounds good. Also, I'm thinking of having another Capay Valley ride-any interest on either the 1st, 8th, or 15th of November? Saturdays are bad in November for me...
You ought to put this up in another thread.

Ah... It's so soon! Looking forward to meeting many of you, if my friend is able to register for the ride! =)
If I end up riding, I'll be the short azn kid wearing shorts, riding a Red Fuji Newest 1.0 =)
Planning to wear my blue/white NorCal kit. Though the jersey may be obscured by a blue jacket.

MyLilPony says I need to wear my BF 50+ kit because of the nonsense I've been posting over in +50, so I guess I will.
I'll be in my super-slow mode as I've just not been feeling great this week, so say hello as you blow past.
I don't know about that. I've been down with the flu, that H1N1 variety. Haven't ridden for 2 weeks. I'm just hoping to finish!
I added an extra tube to my saddle bag. With all the debris on the roads, it's probably wise. I'm debating getting new tires to put on too. But am of 2 minds about it. New tires, better flat protection. On the other hand, I don't want to chew up new tires on 1 ride.
Thoughts?

I think it depends on how bad your exiting tires are.
Unless they are getting really old, I don't think new ones will offer much protection against road crap.
Two extra tubes, and a patch kit. Then just be all zen about life.
I am not a member of DBC, but my in-laws live in Davis and gave me this cool DBC jersey. Can I show my support to the organizers of this ride by wearing the jersey, or would it be considered a faux-pas, since I do not belong to the club?
I don't see a problem with it.

Wear the jersey, but be careful that a DBC member does recruit you to work at one of the rest stops. DBC members are expected to volunteer :).
:) I compare it to when you go to a baseball or football event, you wear the team jersey to show support. But that is a good advice, mjwood25 :)
