Hey people,
New to the forum. Somewhat of a noob with bikes as well. Used to love riding BMX's as a kid, of course, but it had been about 10 years since I'd even gotten on a bike, until this week.
Purchased a banged up, beat up mountain bike just to get the feel of it at the beginning of the week... see if I liked getting on a bike again... fell back in love with bikes!
Loved it so much, that I bought a second-hand 1980's SainTropez 10-speed TONIGHT and took it for a midnight spin. Felt great, though a bit daunting. Need to learn how to work those friction shifters. :o
Good thing Greenpoint and Williamsburg are relatively flat haha
Guess I'll hit it again tomorrow. Probably ride it around McCarren Park, out of danger, till I get a better feel for those shifters :D
