hi

is it possible to change out my ultegra crank arms for dura ace crank arms without having to modify or change anything like the bottom bracket spindle or other parts? thanks!

They were compatible til sometime in '03-'04 when the BB was 'integrated' and thus
made even more proprietary and incompatible. Octalink versions of DA were the previous standard. You should be able to find octalink DA arms with a bit of a search.
Also DA triples are a late octalink arm development. Unless you got them cheap it
would make little sense to change, and even cheap you gain nothing. Steve

thanks ... i have an older set of dura ace cranks (the octa link?) that look very similar to the ultegra (which now has a bent chain ring arm (see: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=57826). the old DA is about 5 or more years old so it sounds like i can just swap them out... thanks!
