Used to be that I could get off one train stop early, swing by the daycare/preschool and get the kids on a city bus with my Curve and just bus it home.

Next week though, one of my boys starts kindergarten one town further out, and the hourly city buses just won't make it home in time to meet him at his bus.

I'd like to keep with my car free commute, and the best I can figure is "pushing it" with MTA and getting a full size folder (hey, the website says any folder), and having my wife leave our Topeak Kiddie seat there at the daycare.

Anyone with experience putting a rack and carrier on an Espresso?

hmm... well, I've answered my own question, it seems. Yes, the Topeak rack and seat do fit on my Large frame Espresso. Went for a test ride on my street. It's geared pretty low, so going up hill w/my big preschooler should be fairly easy. Now I need to figure out what to do w/my messenger bag-- it is a pretty tight fit back there.
