Once London turns into a cycling mecca, I might wish I lived there.
OK, maybe not.

Pangbourne, Berkshire. Got this idea in my head that cycling to the office would be a good idea. I think it might escalate :)

Are there many police cyclists in the UK? Or do they primarily ride horses?

friggin trespassers.
there are more and more cycle police in london. i guess it is easier to move around in traffic. no they don't have guns. armed police are in special cars that are called in as and when some armed incident happens.

You have--oops--we have police that don't carry guns?
That's dumb.

They use their good nature to fight crime. Charm and disarm.

"This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,--
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England."

It's been a while since I've had a good English muffin. How about everyone else?
It's also difficult finding any decent crumpets around here.

Is Bexleyheath near London? Nothing would be cooler than to have you chase down coasting and issue him a citation. He has posted a photo of his bicycle here. Be on the lookout for it.

The local public radio station played this today. It almost made me wish we had royalty here, too. Instead we have to buy our fireworks at Bubba's Fireworks Stand.
