I recently purchased a 2008 Cannonade Slice frame. However, the previous owner chose to keep the fork for his new build… I need some advice on a replacement fork and headset.

To maintain similar handling characteristics and headtube angle, I assume the rake and crown height must be similar.

The headset seems to be integrated, but beyond threaded and threadless I am not entirely sure. What headsets would be compatible?

I am currently looking at either an Easton EC90 Aero or an Alpha Q TS-20. Do these sound like suitable candidates?

Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

Thanks Mate,
I think it looks pretty sweet as well :-)

Really all I can find on the Cannondale website is that the the fork has 45mm of rake, and that the headset is a FSA carbon integrated.

Both replacement Forks Im looking at have 43mm of rake, and share the same basic TT staightblade design, so I'm assuming will have similar crown height/ fork lengths.

Still somewhat uniformed about headsets though... are all integrated sets the same, or are there various subclasses within integrated that I need to worry about?

Nice, I have a 2006 C-dale Slice, last year before they went all carbon. Mine is still mostly aluminum. I love it, it took me to a 5:43 bike split in my first IM, with a 11:59 overall. Great bike.

Wish I could help you on the headset. Mine has a FSA Carbon integrated headset. Might want to check their website for more info. Start here (http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/08/cusa/multisport.html) and click on which one yours exactly is. It does look like all the 08 models of the Slice have the FSA carbon Integrated with a 10mm top cover.
