Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am looking for specific route maps from the regions of Dordogne and around Alpe d'huez.

I would do a search of route mapping sites like

www.mapmyride.com
www.bikely.com
www.ridewithgps.com
www.bikeroutetoaster.com
and the like. Even try a search of Google or Bing for bike routes in that area. Search the forums for Alpe d'huez because someone just posted a bunch of beautiful pix of a ride thru that area. You can PM him.

Route Maps? Get your self some Michelin maps and create your own routes. Borders or Barnes and NOble sell a large bound Michelin map which includes maps of all the major cities as well as the complete country. It is a scale of 1cm = 2km. I find the michelin maps to be excellent and really easy to create routes taylored to your ability, time and comfort level.

Have a great trip! We recently spent 3 days in Bourg D' Oisans, and had a couple of really great rides.

+1 on Michelin maps. Get one map for each region that you want to tour. Once you decide on route, make xerox copies for each day or two.
