Southeast - any bikeable islands in the carribean?

i was thinking of vacation on the beach this winter. i did some research...wanted to go to hawaii...but it is out since i read all the negative reviews regarding unfriendly for bikers on the big island (small narrow roads, alot of curves, no shoulder, inconsiderate drivers etc.). so hawaii is out.
so how about islands in the carribean, like aruba, barbados, bahamas, all those saint name islands like st. lucia, stm martin, st. thomas etc. turks and caicos, puerto rico, dominican republic, bermuda, virgin islands etc.
so any1 here bike in any of those carribeans island and what is your experience on it? thx in advance.

I have just spent 7 years travelling around Caribbean with 4 bikes on a sailboat. The following are certainly not good for cycling:
BVI
St Thomas
St Vincent
St Lucia
Antigua
Trinidad
Curacao
Aruba
Grenada
St Martin
The reasons run from unfriendly locals to unsafe roads
However I found the following very good
St Croix
Martinique
Guadelope
Barbados

Curacao has a couple of really good MTB clubs and they also have a week where they bring top road bike riders from Europe for a tour.

Spent a week in st martin last summer, didnt ride but I noticed on Sunday morning there were a decent amount of roadies out. During the week the traffic is brutal but I did see a couple of guys out , I think the perimeter road is about 38 miles with some good climbs . Road surface is kinda beat so high end hoops would not be advisable.

Culebra.
Pretty small island, but you can rent MTBs there.
A bike is an easy way to access some pretty cool quiet areas there.

Was in Grand Cayman last spring, but did not ride. The roads are excellent, since they are all brand new (hurricane upside?) and the island is quite flat. However, lighting is not great on the East Side at night. Cayman Brac has a hill and people rent bikes out there, but it's a pretty small island overall and not sure the roads are much - very little traffic though. You would have to get your bike on the little prop plane to get it over there.
