Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all,

This September 26th and 27th I'll be participating in the inaugural "Ride to Conquer Cancer" event in Louisville, Kentucky. Riders will be riding from Louisville to Lexington, camping out that night, then riding back to Louisville the next day.
My reason(s) for riding are in memory of our daughter Amanda, who lost her battle with a brain tumor in 1998 at the age of 27. My wife Joanne is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2002 and was successfully treated with chemotherapy. I'm also riding for the many friends who are fighting or have fought this disease. I'm 66 and a disabled veteran who started back riding a year ago.
I've currently raised over $1200 in sponsorships to date, but I need more donations to reach my goal of $2500 by September 24th. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate maybe you know someone who can. Spread the word please.

Many thanks.

Good luck on your ride. I just rode in Pelotonia in Columbus for cancer this past weekend. Was a good event.
