My old 1977 Fuji is a high quality bike, but with a steel frame and other things
make it heavy, so I'm looking to buy a new light Road bike of good Quality for
a very reasonable price. I'm 6'4", 230 pounds. Does anyone have any
suggestions for me?

How much you looking to spend? IMO, "quality" starts at $1000.00 (yep, it surprised me too).
Your size is not an issue with most modern bikes. Go to a local bike store and look at the big names (Trek, Giant, Specialized etc.). They pretty much set the bar when it comes to bang for the buck.
Good luck, and I will apologize for not being overly specific. Your question comes up about 10 times a week and, if I may give a general consensus, your are best served going out there and test riding as many as you can to see what fits you best. Then, check back here for any follow-up questions.
I will ad that if you have not ridden anything beside your Fuji, anything new will feel very different, so shop around.
