General Cycling Discussion - Cycling vacation with B & B
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking a year or perhaps two out in the future and am wondering about a cycling vacation with some bed and breakfast stops for my wife and me.
Have any of you done this? If so, where and when? You know, all the usual questions.
I would prefer something with known bike paths that support the opportunity. New England, or Colorado, or about any place where cycling is well established and the comfort factor makes it appealing for an adventerous lady!
Please note web links, known books on print -- anything.
Thanks in advance,
PS: I hope I have this at the correct forum. :thumb:
I'd recommend Door County anytime during the year, but autumn is extra special:
Go ask this question in the Touring Forum:
In fact, maybe the mods can move it over there.
Cycletourists use all sorts of different accommodations on their/our tours.

Write, call, or go online to find bed & breakfasts in Vermont and cycling tours. Some inns and b&b's offer touring by bike as well as comfy places to stay. And Vermont is simply beautiful.

yeah, New England is the place to hit the B&Bs! Our first snows are in mid to late October so keep an eye on the sky! :-)

If you will be staying in one place for a month or so- It might be worth looking at Holiday accomodation. Especially if you are out of season for the area.
couple of years ago I went to france for a month camping in late april. It would have been cheaper to rent a caravan or cottage than pay camping fees for a month.
