Professional Cycling For the Fans - Flandis to the Shack?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'd love to see floyd make a comeback... he's been pretty much left out to dry by the entire cycling community. i just wish he'd stay away from the shack. as far as anyone else giving AC a run for his money, well, here might be your man:

yup in that little black book in his head. I've seen him riding up the mountain by my buddies house about a yr ago. He was going pretty good.

ummm... yes.
i think floyd has been too humbled to be in the company of LA... however, they are supposedly tweeting each other, or whatever they do.

I like Floyd but I wouldn't say he was left out to dry...he made his bed. I would like to see him back in Europe if he's riding well enough.

Landis is not going to RadioShack. I think I heard that he will be on United Health (the new OUCH) next year.
landis is a has been. he's not qualified to pack AC's used chamois.

I think any team that bring in Landis needs to write off ever being invited to an ASO event. Yes, he served his time in suspension - but ASO has always had a hard time with forgiveness for doping offenses, let alone someone who, certainly in their eyes, tarnished the grandest of Grand Tours through positives after the the podiums, after the celebrations declaring Floyd as the winner.

'Tis better to be a "has been" than to have never been at all.
We return you to your regularly scheduled programming....

I think Landis (dis)proved himself well enough for most of us this year. I was hoping he'd make a good showing, but we sure didn't see much did we.

Armstrong didn't. Yet.

No "will be". He is. He ran in the Tour of Missouri this year and finished 45th in the GC.

The race organisers, the UCI, the public and the press will never forgive Landis (for getting caught and being stupid about it).
Regardless of whether he's good enough or not, I strongly doubt he'll ever ride in Europe again.

Three years in the wilderness is normally sufficient penance for most pro cyclists. But, then Tyler Hamilton did not have sufficient time to reflect in his days in the outback.. Nah. There are too many head problems between Lance and Floyd.

He's under contract for 2010 with OUCH (or rather with the team management as they might be getting a new sponsor).
