G'day,
Big maggie hurt his back sometime ago....at 196 cm & 98kgs with the tour now pointing 'up'....there probably not much point him pushing himself. Hopefully he can recover for the Olympics,

Heat and Mountains got to him. I was rooting for him too. :( not to win but to finish. He and I are the same weight. :) (Although I bet it looks alot better on him....)

I was actually rooting for him as well since he is a "heavier" rider. Of course I want Lance to win but seeing bigger guys out there kicking some ass is nice.

Magnus' season is already a superb one. After Backsted's Paris-Roubaix victory, you won't hear me 'blaming him' for quitting the TdF.
