I have spinergy rev x's on my bike and just got a rack... I'm wondering if anyone knows if these should NOT be put on the rack for fear of breakage?
..and I'm not looking for comments on how they break on the street and what not..heard it all before ;)
thanks in advance :)

I know several people with Rev-X wheels who use roof racks. Just make sure to center the wheel tiedown in the center of the space between the spokes. The rim section isn't where the alleged problems are, it is that the spokes can become damaged easily and then suffer catastrophic failure. All of the people I know with them love them, and they all are under the weight limit of the wheels, which I think might be part of the failure "problem". I weigh around 200 lbs, so I went with a different Spinergy wheel- the Xaero-X, which can handle someone my size.

yeah..I have no problems either and I ride them on city streets everyday..so they've proved themselves to me :)
I wasnt worried about the outer rim, I was just concerned that the spokes would flutter in the high speed or something...but as long as I have confirmation others are doing it ;) thanks :)
