so the story is i have 3 bikes a road rig, full suspension mtb and an old rigid mtb

I was thinking of using my old rigid mtb form 95-96 for cross since we only have a season that lasts a month here

so what is a good mtb tire for cross ?

If you want to lighten up your bike even more, consider converting it to singlespeed.

it depends on where you live

if you live in a more hardpack or sandy area you could probably get away with a good wide file tread tire, but if you live in a muddier area you will want a narrower tire.

I would run whatever you get tubeless since it is easy to do for MTBs
