Well, after buying my flat-bar Buzz and getting it perfectly dialed in for my 7mi (one way) commute, looks like things may be changing for me. This may sound silly to everyone on here, but it looks like I'm going from a 7mi one-way, ~300ft change in elevation commute to a 11mi one way, ~550ft change in elevation.

Is there anything that I need to look out for, or is this just going to extend my daily time on the bike. If that, it's certainly not a bad thing.

Should just be time on the bike. Not really an appreciable change to me. That's from someone that rides 25 tho. 11 would be a short jaunt :)

I agree with CCrew, you probably won't notice the difference in a few weeks. The climbing might take more getting used to than the increase in mileage. Of course, that's coming from someone whose change in elevation can be measured in millimeters. :)

Look for a route with the minimum intersections where you have to slow down.

4 miles added (8 total) 250 feet added (500 total) - not too bad unless that 250 feet is done in 100 yards...

It's going to be more time in the saddle than anything else...I do 4 miles one way, I know that I could do 11 miles, but the time it would take would hamper other things I need to get done...
