I thought you might like to share these pics. off the roughstuff cycling site by a guy called Trevor while touring in Switzerland, he'd be a brave man to tackle those roads !!

I have future touring plans in Europe myself. Those roads have been "noted".

Thank you for sharing.

What the... holy... uh.. isn't that on the side of a cliff!? Wow ok I'm impressed. :D
Going back downhill is suicide, is that even possible?

That's what you get when routes are established before the industrial revolution.

Many roads look "worse" when seen from the side, like Passo Stelvio (http://www-math.science.unitn.it/Bike/Countries/Europe/Tour_Reports/Tour_of_the_Alps/Gallery/Gnarly_Stelvio.jpg) for instance, but that road looks insane... I would like to know where it is :). Fred Wright (http://www.ocd.org.uk/alps/rs/fred.htm) has a few pictures of roads less travelled in the Alps.

Speaking of rough stuff, a couple of personal favourites are the south (http://cykelsemester.eurotourism.net/album/images/2001_124_tendenereserpentiner.jpg) side (http://cykelsemester.eurotourism.net/album/images/2001_127_tendeserpentiner.jpg) of Col de Tende and Colle (http://cykelsemester.eurotourism.net/album/images/2001_148_valcamulo_ec.jpg) dell (http://cykelsemester.eurotourism.net/album/images/2001_149_mulo_usikt_es.jpg) Mulo (http://cykelsemester.eurotourism.net/album/images/2001_151_mulo_ner_es.jpg) near the French border.

If someone said what do you really think - I'd say they look photoshopped. Some of those angles appear to be far too extreme to be real.

But, what do I know?
