Hey,

Just today i went for a ride and while out it pissed down with rain. My bike and me got soaked and i was wondering whether this rainwater may harm some of the components eg disc brakes, de-railers, chain etc.
Also i have been told that i may need to re-lube my chain and stuff after being caught in the rain but....Will the rain actually cause any long-term damage to my bike?

No - no long term damage. Relube the chain, wipe down everything to dry it, and reapply lube to those place that it may have been washed out of (pivot points, etc.). If it rained really hard, take out your seatpost, turn the bike upside down, and let water run out of the seatube if you've got any in there. Remember that if you ride in the rain a lot you might have to service the fork a little more often and pay more attention to making sure that bearings and the seatpost stay greased up.

I had that same problem what do you do with the rotors? Just let them dry or do you dry them off with a clean towel? What?
