So I went to the LBS down the block and checked out some pedals and shoes.
Ended up getting the Look A3.1's and a pair of specialized comp's. Very comfortable shoe and the Look's make a nice "snap" when I clip in, much more "watch out people, I'm clipping in!" than the click the SPD's make. Install the red look cleats into my shoes and WHOP! damn near slipped off the floor and broke my ankle as my foot slipped and twisted as I got out of my chair. Hehe, this is gonna take some getting used to.

Price wasn't that bad, $99 for the pedals, $99 for the shoes.

Kool Kovers for the cleats. Will cut down on the Convience Store Butt Sliding.

Just try walking in the store to get a Gatorade in your Speedplay cleats. They are all metal on the bottom...slippery as hell! The good part is that you not only look cool in your tights, but, you sound like damn Fred Astair in his tap-shoes...LAUGH!!!
