hey everyone. i was wondering if anyone had tips for tightening and loosening truvativ bb's. the reason i ask is that when i go to use the truvativ bb tool, it will occasionaly slip off the bb which results in stripping those little dimples. it happened too many times when installing my new gigapipe and now i cant tighten it anymore. does anyone have any tips so that this will not happen again?
also can anyone tell me which part of the bb i grease? is it only the output drives or are there other parts i have to grease? thanks a lot

1. It is the same tool used on Shimano BB's. As far as the torque, use a torque wrench. The specs should be available in the TruVativ web site.
2. Lightly grease the threads that go in the bike frame. Used a thin bit of teflon tape on part of the threads to keep out water.
sounds like you have the wrong size bb tool.... i dont think it should slip off that easily.

no i have the right tool. i went on park tool and they had a tip. put a skewer through the bb and tool and then lock it in, then there is no way for the tool to slip off.
o man that is pretty smart. i woulda never thought of that haha.
