I know it should be listed on the CTC calendar but I haven't looked to see what date it is on this year. It is only a metric but this is one ride I try to do most years. 65 miles on the New Forest and as the name implies- you run over a lot of Grid Irons that are used to keep the cattle on the Forest. A Fantastic ride if you can make it but check the weather report before you leave home. I have done the ride in High winds and torrential rain but as it is a circular ride- it should only be bad for half the ride if the weather is against you.

So any of you looking for a good ride in October- check the CTC calendar and try it.

Just found details. And it is a fantastic ride. Hills involved but not that steep or long- beautiful scenery and the other riders are great. And the food at the end is unbelievable.
