Is there such a thing? What I'd really like to do is take off the ring/spider combo that is on the crankset now and replace it with a 32-34t ring for dedicated SS duty. Does anyone make such a chainring?

I have a 32t 4 bolt chainring on my Truvativ "Fire X" crank set, I don't know if the ring has the same holes, but it probably does exist

my lx cranks are four hole bolt pattern and the middle chainring is 32t.

Try www.middleburn.co.uk. They do lots of different chainrings, and in proper SS tooth profiles too. May well have something suitable, and if not they have a very tasty single ring crankset that comes in 32t :)
