Just getting into biking. It's been a long time (since I was a kid) since I rode any at all. I hope it's as fun as I remember!

Welcome to the forums, 'goose! My story is similaar. Used to ride around the neighborhood as a kid, life happened, now at 32 I've rediscovered The Bike. What kind do you have? Mine's a MTB although I have yet to take it out on a trail -- the bike path is a coupla blocks from my house. :)

Cool! I've ridden on NC's Cycle North Carolina (CNC). CNC is a ride across NC around the first week of October each year. I absolutly loved it and plan on participating in it again someday.

My daughter just moved to Kinston and I have several friends over at Seymour Johnson AFB, more good friends up around Charlotte, and a brother/sister-inlaw up in Winston-Salem. You anywhere near these places? While visiting friends and relatives, we might be able to take advantage of your area expertise and get some miles in with you.
