We have a canyon that helps connect us with the western part of northern Colorado. It's a beautiful scenic drive. As part of the stimulus funds, our county has decided to repave the upper section of this canyon. 2 weeks ago, a tanker truck, loaded with asphalt, took a turn too fast and spilled its contents into the river. The EPA contracted a company to clean it up.
All was going well until yesterday. Another tanker truck, loaded with asphalt, took a turn too fast and spilled its contents into the river. WTF?!? That's ridiculous. Fortunately, since the contractor was on scene cleaning the first spill, they were able to respond to the second accident within several minutes.
*sigh*
Who ever is at fault here should lose his ass.

Weird. Last weekend we had two semi wrecks on the same day. Is there something in the air or something? Too much smoke, maybe?

So once they get done paving the Poudre River, are they going to put a bike lane in it?:p

So Colorado's working the stimulus dollars game, eh? Spills and EPA clean-ups = additional jobs for clean-ups. Now we know.
