Are there ever any bicycle-related swap meets in the DFW area?

They had a monthly one near downtown Dallas for a bit, but I think the guy sponsoring it moved or something.

Only one I know of coming up is this:
http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/bik/1330821902.html

"We are having our 13th Annual Vintage Classic Bicycle Swap Meet on Saturday Oct 17th at the Bicycles Inc parking lot. 143 E Harwood.
The Vintage Bicycle Club of Texas hosts this event.
Last year was our biggest ever. Bring out whatever you want to sell.
If you want to push a bike around to sell you can for free but spots are $10. Setup time is 7am and the meet starts at 8am.
More links and postings will be done as the time closes in. Hope you see you there. "

As I recall, this is more nearly "antique" bikes, as in old cruisers and stuff, not so much 80's & 90's "vintage" high-end bikes.

There as also a cyclocross and swap meet in January; I think it's an annual thing.

Just a heads-up for those not from around these parts: This is in Hurst. :)

I went to the one at Bicycles Inc last year. If you are looking for Roadie parts it's very hit and miss and very limited. There were a few guys who had complete bikes, but not many.

As said above it's mostly antique and cruiser stuff. It's still not a bad way to spend a morning.

There's been a very good swap meet in January or February the last two years. They held it in Ft Worth. Dunno if it's still on for next year, but I got/got rid of a ton of good gear there.

I'll be at the vintage swap in Hurst this Saturday in search of a touring worthy frame with lots of chrome! There was a Fuji America that I missed on CL not long ago..Maybe that sucker will be there.

Consider this a "bump" for the swap meet in Hurst:
