This morning on the ride up the East side of Lake Washington at about 6:00, I looked west over the lake and saw a full, huge, orange moon sitting a few degrees above the horizon. There were clouds around it, but the disc itself was unobstructed. It was a truly awesome sight.
There was very little traffic or other noise, the temperatures were good and the winds were light. *This* is what I like about bicycle commuting.

I saw it was well, coming down the Sammamish River Trail around the same time. Made me wish I had my camera with me. Very cool.

Very cool, indeed.
Mr. Moon gave me some serious face time last night, hanging over Lake Washington and Tiger Mountain on my eastbound ride home. It was so bright I climbed the Highlands Drive MUP with just my little headlamp on, didn't even need that but wanted to avoid surprising ninjas or bears (have encountered both on that stretch).
