Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

... I walked out my back door, and this is what I saw...
Wow - how are you going to bike on that water? :)
But kind of seriously, a south of the equator vacation might be sounding good next year... Probably end up just going to Florida or somthing though...
And if that's you're winter - WoW!!! So much nicer looking than 30F below and pouring snow...
Great pic

You jammy git. I wonder how long I'll stay in Europe before I finally crack? At this rate, I give it 5 years max.
Summer seems to have given Europe a miss this year. Enjoy a passionfruit for me.

Nope, I just have my priorities in order. Remember, I save over $5,000 per annum on not owning a car. It's amazing what one can do with that.

I move soon, to a 30km commute. Amongst the various commuting options I was pondering, my friend/boss said "why not get a car?" I said it wasn't worth the money - petrol, parking, insurance, tax, upkeep, blah blah blah.
And she said, in all seriousness, that owning a car wasn't that expensive - and this in Holland! Sometimes I am amazed at how willingly people brainwash themselves in spite of such obvious evidence to the contrary. She seems to have a hard time understanding how I could not want a car.
Owning a car not expensive? The impudent fools!

Great picture Chris. Thanks for sharing it. I love both cycling and most things having to do with water, along with photography. Here's one from Oregon last summer.

Hey, I like photography too! Here is my contribution! June 2nd on my self supported Metric Century.

Nice one Chris... Mornings like that make putting up with the bogans in Australia almost worth it.
[edited for bogan spelling] ;)

This was my photography contribution from earlier this year (some of you may have seen before). I'm planning on uploading instalment #2 later this week.

I don't believe I've heard the expression "buzzy" yet. Does it have anything to do with your avatar?

Nice photo. Still doesn't entice me to live on the Gold Coast again though.

That's alright, there are quite enough people moving here already thankyouverymuch. One less means it will just be that little bit less likely for my rent to increase on the next lease renewal.
Liked it so much, I put it on my desktop...

You know, that's now three members (that I know of) who have put pics I've taken on their desktop. I'm feeling all fuzzy! :D

Out my back door is the kids primary school, the little $hits wake me up when im on night-shift & trying to sleep during the day  They also biff all their wrapers from their lunch over my fence but I take my revenge by spiking all the balls that come over before chucking them back :D :D

Out my back door is a nosy neighbor that has called the police so much on me and other neighbors noone talks to him or even waves at him.
Other then him, I've got a huge pecan tree and a live oak that frame a BBQ pit and some picnic tables. Then the squirrels that mess with the dog.

I walk out my front door and see a 2 acre pasture "where the deer and the antelope play" (actually, only deer, squirrels, rabbits, possums, armadillos, wild cats, and occasionally a warthog or two). To the right of the house, a small half-acre pasture, then woods beyond that. To the left of the house, a small yard and then woods. I walk out onto the deck in my back yard and there is about a half-acre of yard and then woods, woods, and more woods.
I cannot imagine living in the city. I love my "hundred acre woods"! I do envy Chris living near the water though.
Out my back door...pic was taken at 11:30 pm, notice the lightning is hitting the high tension wire.
Out my back door is absolutely nothing. This makes it great when I have to pee!
