Poll time!

Ok I've included 7 browsers, yes I know there are many more, and specific once for certain purposes (Opera Mini). I do care about these but I picked a few of the top used ones.
Don't feel left out, just give yourself a hug for being unique like everyone else. :thumb:

Any who, If you don't know about these look them up and here is a list with many others:
Wikipedia List of Browsers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_web_browsers)

Now get to poll (ing??)

What? Never. Why would I poll a bike forum on internet usage for market research. We are, those people over there, they're aliens who can't walk right, aren't we?

Just bored and have to be at work for a little while longer

Dislike IE, but use it for work issues, but also have Firefox/Mozilla at work - kicked Chrome off, I just don't use it, but with the newer Firefox updates - man they eat my memory up. Work can handle -but I'm thinking of kicking that off too.

Went to Opera, then kicked out my long time love affair with Firefox. I'm liking it so far. My old computer at home was having issues with new Firefox, etc and so I was looking at the resources being used and freak - it was using 50-75% Told by great friend to try Opera, then delete all mozilla/firefox stuff and my internet browser is now down to 18-24% usage of computer.

So for home - while using Dinosaur computer - it's opera. Work - it's firefox ... for now. My work computer is being bogged down now too - but I'm sure that's because of work stuff cause college classes start next week.

Firefox is my primary. Have IE for when one of the kids need to look something up for homework. That and FF won't stream audio from one of my fav radio stations in town, but IE does with no issues.

Have yet to check out Opera or Chrome.

I use Firefox, Opera, IE8, IE7, Chrome, Netscape Nav, Safari, AOL Browser, in that order. Should probably delete some to save space, but oh well.

I use Firefox for general browsing because I have my usual garbage blocking extensions. For those brain dead websites which have to have backlevel IE versions, I have Windows XP Mode, and VM disk logs so when done, I just close the window and it drops all changes (killing any malware in the process.)

On my Mac, I use Safari, but not really impressed at how many times it locks up preventing switching even to a terminal or to kill it from the menu.

IE 8 is actually rather secure...

The new upgrades to Firefox aren't making me happy at all.

will either roll it back or use Chrome or Opera since those are also installed... I never use IE.

There are some websites (mostly flash based ones) that don't like Firefox. So I keep IE open in the tast bar usually. But I like Firefox better, so it gets most of the use - like right now.

IE 8 is pretty secure. However, even with compatibility mode, there are some websites that refuse all access completely to anything that isn't using IE6, that I am forced to use for some job applications.

Just installed Opera. Had to use IE to do it, Firefox didn't want me to install. I like FF w/AdBlock, but Opera seems to load quicker even with the ads.

I checked out what Wiki had to say before I installed through CNET's download site. I like how Opera was orginally designed for people with visual and physical impairments.

IE8 here. Protected Mode and central manageability are nice perks.

will either roll it back

Considering that the last FireFox update fixed 11 security vulnerabilities, some of them quite serious, I wouldn't be rolling back. If you don't like IE, give Chrome or Opera a try.

@home: firefox for windows since v1.1. Went to opera for a short while when ff v2 was around with the dumb memory issues, but quickly went back to ff when those issues were fixed. For the last year, using ff on mac.

@work: ff for windows since v1.1 and also ie6/7. Work pc support have removed ff for me (some "everyone has to be the same" campaign) but they installed some firefox equivalent - cant remember name, but it's like the orange fox, only blue (not ice weasel). Also got chrome, but doesn't seem to be as fast as they claim. Using it more since pcsupport removed ff.
