Who has ridden these grips and how long are the barends?

I think I would like the barend on the GX3 better than the GC3 because it seems like the curved end(GC3) would get in the way(rub) top of hand/index finger in straight position. Don't know how long they actually are. No dimensions.

However, I believe I would like the feel of the grip of the GC3 better as it is larger with more support.
Why they haven't come out with a customizable combo grip/barend is beyond me. They all work together, they are just not for sale separately/interchangeable.

These are going on my commuter/all round bike.Opinions? Thanks.

I sold my boss a Trek 7.2FX that he promptly put the GC3's on. I've ridden it, they're very, very nice. Great handhold for standing and climbing and they don't get in the way when on the regular grips.. I have the GC2's on one of my MTB's. They're great for protecting your hands on trails, but worthless as an additional hand position.

Anyone with the GX3s? Nobody locally has the GX grips, so I don't know how much smaller the body of the grip is.

On the GC3s, is there enough room for a full grip on the straight part of the barend without top of index/thumb rubbing on piece of barend that curves in? It looks like it would be a tight fit. I guess I'm worried about rubbing/blistering on the top of the uh.... handcrotch/thumbknuckle from curving part of barend. Thanks.

I'll see if I can get you some pics of my bosses with my hands for perspective. He usually rides in once or twice a week.

No, it's been generally pretty crappy this week and he hasn't ridden in. I haven't forgotten! :)
