These gents seem to want me to go one way but I ain't gonna do it!

Great ride today. Rode up to the LBS and I think I bought a Trek 520 touring bike. My apologies to the foldie crowd here. He'll get me a 520 provided he can at some dealers meeting.

Anyway on the way back from the LBS I decided to opt for the "ride until thoroughly lost" option and then work my way out of it.

These are my favorite kind of rides and where you run into goofy stuff like my guys in the photo.

Great ride through some rural Japanese towns and I don't think it's possible for me to have enjoyed it more. I've been riding the snot out of my Dahon Speed TR and finally got around to tuning up the derailleur on the Speed P8. I changed the cable and got the derailleur position off a bit and was getting goofy shifts with it in either gears 2 or 7. I bought a spare NEOS derailleur a while back and while I didn't use it I did use the installation sheet that came with it. Dropped the cable and derailleur and just started from scratch.

Shook the P8 down today and I must have done it right because the shifts were crisp and on the money every time.
