"The cycle week in Motala" is the biggest cycle-event in Sweden. Between two weekends in june there are different races and distances for different groups. The longest is called Vätternrundan (300 km), Half-Vättern (150 km) and Womens Vättern (90 km). Women can ride all three events!!! And then theres Min-Vättern (1.000 or 2.000 metres) for kids between 6-12 years. The Half and Mini on the same day, why I was out in the course while my daughter Ella did her mini (under supervision from the wife and little brother). A fantastic family-day and a very proud daughter!

Nice!

What bike are you riding, not familiar with that paint scheme. I couldn't tell enough from the brake levers if they were Suntour or Campy. I am guessing Campy Super Record though. I'd also guess a late 60's to mid-70's frame?

Hello masiman! Its a 1979 Crescent 319 fully equipped with original Dura Ace gruppo! Everything still functions perfectly! The bike is fast and speedy (something I need when getting tired!:))

Nice lug work on the bike. I thought it would be earlier because of the few brazeon's. I don't know Crescents. It looks like it rides nice.

Enjoy the good riding weather, winter is coming on soon :).

That is a very nice collection. The Geliano was very interesting looking. All of them certainly were some tall bikes.

Got a dumpsterfind Moto with a sticker for this race from 1987. Nomber 13785 :D. Think I remember the Moto mixte that I found at the same time also had the sticker but no photos of that one before stripping the paint.

This year there were 17.000! participants on the "full" Vätternrundan, 3.500 on "half vättern" and 4.000 on womens race. The "big" race is ongoing for a whole day, the first starting about 8 in the evening and the last groups starting 6 the following morning. Your bike either visit the cycle week or followed its owners to the states? You get your starting number when applying - usually the race is full long before the cycle week starts; its a real cycle-Woodstock! www.vatternrundan.se
