I have been ridding for about a year. I am looking to get into a new bike. The question is road or tri bike. I ride on the weekend about 50 miles and am looking to do a couple sprint tri's maybe in the future some olympic tri's and alittle road racing. I know of a good specialized road bike that has been fitted with bull horns and a tri seat post? What would you go with. Thnks
Go with the road bike. It is more versatile. Don't show up at a road race with a tri/TT bike. You could 'accidently' wind up in the barriers. The bikes are not for handling in large groups and they will take your out before you take them out.

So what are you currently riding? If it's something that will do OK for the 50 milers and the road races, I say get a tri-bike. And by that I mean a real tri-bike. Not a road bike converted to a tri-position like the Specialized appears to be. Otherwise get a road bike.
