Well I put a deposit down on my new bike today.

I am picking up a 2009 Trek Madone 4.7 in October.. Now I have to learn some patience while I wait. I cant imagine what its going to be like moving from my hybrid to this new ride. Just picking it up in the LBS, it seems half the weight..

Sorry, pretty excited and had to share..

Oh, just kidding-----really, congratulations on the hot, new ride. Waiting will be hard, I'll bet.

I did get you a new bike.. it should be there by Friday..

Your right, the waiting is killing me... It looks like the 3rd week in October before I get my bonus check and I get it paid off... It is sitting on the top rack at my LBS... I am not worried though... I licked the frame so I could claim it as mine..

Your post reminded me of that car commercial where the guy licks the door handle of the car he wants when the saleman is walking up with a customer. Funny stuff, lol.

It's only six weeks. I know that sounds like a long time, but it's only 42 days, which is only half the quarter. It's not like it's half way to Thanksgiving or anyting. Oh wait.

I'm not really helping here am I?

Damn you man.. you had to go there... lol...

If there is a bright side to this, I leave next week for a week long camping trip to Colorado... That should help eating up a week of my time...

Excellent, that only leaves 35 days, or almost 1/3 of the NFL season if you will.

I'm doing it again aren't I?:p

I test rode a madone after someone recommended it, it was amazing! I can't test ride bikes anymore because they make my low-end sora geared road bike feel like crap lol. But nice! I would be excited too. I am hoping to upgrade next year or so, and Trek's are definitely top of the list right now for me.

We're in the entry market right now, because we're just finishing paying for our wedding. 2 days ago, I bought my fiancee a Trek Womens 1.1 and she loves it. The components aren't anything to write home about, but it's a nice bike we can build on.
