Northeast - nyc cyclocross clinic

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is there a skills clinic coming up?
Staten Island CX is less than three months away.
It looks like fun
it also looks kinda hard
who will teach me how to run in shoes i can barely walk in
who will show me how launch my self at a rolling bike
If nobody has one planned
I'd need a list of interested parties on both sides of the knowledge gap
pretty soon I'll be unemployed (again) and have time for this sort of thing
it could happen
If only I had a cross bike... or money. I turned my old cross frame into a commuter, and now I am itching to try the sport this winter. Stupid, stupid!

Funds are tight lately for everybody, but winter is coming and it might be good if you had knobby tires on your commuter, for the snow and such... just a thought. Nashbar has some cheapo tires for $18 that might work.
maybe the upcoming bike jumble will provide some bargains.

I plan on doing the SI cx as my first cross race.
I bought a Raleigh Rx for commuting...but have since become interested in cross races. There are a few short tips on you tube that I've been planning on practicing...I figure if I get them down hopefully it will make up for my lack of legs.
If there's any kind of a clinic...I'd love to get in on it!!!!
