Commuting - NOLA Southern Decadence Festival (VIDEO)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

On the way home from work Saturday I stopped by the Southern Decadence Festival in the French Quarter to see what images I might capture with my helmet cam.
WARNING! This vid is quite different from my usual format. If you are uptight about same-sex persons holding hands in public, don't look at it.
If you decide to join me, you only need to know one thing guys: DO NOT take your shirt off unless you are "available".

Nice video! Damn I like crowded narrow alleyways.
I will wait for the Mardi Gras videos.

Nice video Joey, Those are all my people anyway, thanks
Leave it to the thumpers to try and screw up a good party.
That's the problem of organized religion...it teaches to force ideas down their throat or in some instances Kill them if they don't assimilate.
Got no problem with the Decadence but I am looking forward to the Mardi Gras vids as well!

They don't have a prayer in NOLA.
I been seeing some of the same guys for ten years - Mardi Gras too. I think they use it as a tax write-off. Anyway, they actually make the whole thing just that much more fun. Not many infidels get ruffled about it here.

That might come sooner than you think!
I am a pretty fair photographer. In 2000-2001 I had a Website entitled "Mardi Gras 2000" which featured 1000 photos EACH year of the Mardi Gras season. I usually snapped about 500 on Mardi Gras Day. The server went bust and I have never tried to find another. But I can turn the photos into video footage and post them, probably on NOLA.com or Vimeo.
I am slowly turning the best photos into a series (probably 10 chapters) using "Ken Brown" type video style. The photos are all PG rated. There are plenty of "Girls Gone Wild" sources for Bourbon Street foolishness online and very little real Mardi Gras images. My photos feature REAL Mardi Gras stuff that locals do, not the "fratboy/midwesterners gone wild" stuff that highlights a pretty narrow view of what goes on down here. Lots of costumes, parades, and people-watching photos. No flashing on Bourbon Street.
I guess I would post such a thing in FOO, as there is no way to work in bicycles at all.

Good video Joey, but am I to understand from all the banners that Jesus was gay?
