Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - How come no one told me this was so much fun...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So in February when I bought my Hardrock Pro I knew that someday I wanted to try riding mountain bike trails. But for 7 months I stuck to the roads. Saturday I went out and spent 45 minutes riding on some local mountain bike trails. I could have spent all day doing so (or at least until I wore myself out). I have to admit, I enjoy riding on the roads, its fun and faster than in the trees, but I really loved riding in the wooded trails yesterday.

I love the scabs and the mud. 'Deeper, the better. Seriously.

well can't recall having seen you ask ;)
I started out MTBing on the road and took it to the Pine Ridge here in Nebraska and OMG singletrack without an engine is freeking sweet!!!
since we have ultra mild winters here I am seriously looking at a Surly Puglsey... on that I'd have the whole area to myself :D without the armies of deer ticks and 100 degree days...
my plans include road and MTB... love em both...
