hi,

I have a trek 7100 with a suspension fork. I want to replace with a rigid fork.

unfortunately, the trek seems to have a threaded fork and I got one that is threadless...

is there a way to adapt a threadless fork for the bike?
if so, what else do I need?

one note, is that I really do like the adjustable stem that the bike came with.

Yes, but some caveats apply. First, what size threaded fork did your 7100 originally come with? If it came with a 1" threaded fork and you bought a 1 1/8" threadless fork, you are out of luck.

If it came with a 1" threaded fork and you bought a 1" threadless fork, you only need to buy a new threadless headset and stem. Same applies for 1 1/8" threaded to 1 1/8" threadless.

If it came with a 1 1/8" threaded fork and you bought a 1" threadless fork, you can get a headset that will adapt the smaller fork to the larger headtube.

If you didn't catch on though, you won't be able to keep your original adjustable quill stem. However, there are plenty of threadless adjustable stem that should give you the same adjustability.

ok thanks, I think that the fork is a 1'' but I will check that out...
